Changing Woman Initiative supports perinatal families through a culturally centered community midwifery lens and provides individualized support to mothers. We provide education, guidance & advocacy with mothers while they navigate the complex maternal health systems. We provide emotional support, as well as cultural connection through Saad K’idilyé. Our work and programming is centered on supporting families as they navigate pregnancy, motherhood, postpartum, and health changes throughout the life cycles as women. Our mission is to empower diverse Indigenous communities to protect cultural birth resiliency and the fundamental Indigenous human right to reproductive health, dignity, and justice. Our vision is to restore the sovereignty of global Indigenous wellness by honoring our human right to equitable reproductive health.
