Mama Pathway Community Support Guide

Compensation Range: $80-120/hr DOE as independent contractor
Commitment: 8-20 hrs/week

Our mission is to provide mothers with the knowledge, support, and community they need to navigate the transformative journey of motherhood, while creating a culture shift in birth in the United States and beyond. .
Job Description
As a Mama Pathway Community Support Guide, you will play a pivotal role in guiding mothers through this life-changing journey. Your expertise and dedication will help them navigate the complexities of pregnancy, birth, and postnatal care, ensuring they receive the support and information they need. These part-time positions are designed to complement your existing career, allowing you to make a meaningful impact without sacrificing your current job, though there are also full-time career opportunities ahead. .
Responsibilities
- Community Engagement: Actively engage with members in The Mama Pathway Village, our supportive community space. This includes creating and responding to posts and offering guidance, answering questions, and fostering connections among mothers via the Community Portal.
- Support Circles: Lead virtual Support Circles, a 60-minute weekly prenatal and postpartum group, to facilitate meaningful discussions and connections among mothers. These circles will be hosted by a team of experts, including MDs, CNMs, CPMs, IBCLCs, and others who have ideally studied with Aviva and/or who bring substantial expertise in an integrative, whole woman approach to maternal health (and newborn care).
Additionally you may be called upon to join us in:
- Educational Support: You will contribute to The Mama Pathway's comprehensive curriculum by sharing your expertise and knowledge. This includes participating in creating video lessons covering various topics, from the first trimester to early postpartum.
- Resource Development: Create informative and engaging PDF resources that distill essential information, offer recipes and herbal remedies, and provide opportunities for reflection on the journey to motherhood.
- Live Events & Q&A’s: Participate in monthly Q&A sessions where you can personally answer questions related to pregnancy, birth, or prenatal care in the chats and in the events.
Qualifications:
- A background in maternal healthcare, including but not limited to midwifery, doula work, lactation consulting, perinatal mental health, childbirth education, obstetrics, family medicine, women's health, or pediatrics.
- Passion for supporting mothers and empowering them on their journey to motherhood.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- A commitment to providing evidence-based information and support.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Willingness to work in a part-time capacity alongside your current career.
