A recent study of over 16,000 women followed for more than 20 years found that a diet rich in flavonoids, especially from berries, can significantly help prevent cognitive decline! No kidding, berries can give you brain power!
Smoothies are popular around my house, especially with high school and college-aged daughters who want to eat nutritiously but light, or who have to grab something on the fly before an early morning class. Ditto for me. They are a refreshing alternative pick-me-up to coffee and can pack a hefty dose of protein and phytoestrogens if you include flax seeds and almond butter.
